Adding Oxide/Rust++

Post by bLuNt on Tue Feb 04, 2014 12:22 am

What do you guys think about adding a rust mod? I would like to have a mod on the server because lots of people are asking for it. It's also faster/easier to create a house with a buddy.. I prefer to have one on the server cuz it will attract more people to the server!

What do you guys think about that idea?

Regarding the teaming up with a buddy, your able to door share without a mod using the 4 digit pin codes.

If the owner of a door holds "e" on there door and sets a code, they can share that pin with others.

We have ran a modded server before and it didnt go too well. We also noticed there are over 10,000 rust servers in the modded section and only like 1000 in community (Non Modded).

Which means theres a larger chance of being on the #1 page of community compared to modded servers.

Yea thats true, but it would be nice if you could see who did you kill :p because other players are asking for a mod aswell. Maybe you should ask other players on the server itself for some research ^^.

I believe that there are a few mods that would be helpful.
The oxide admin removal gun would be welcomed, as you can also start manually removing old grieved bases to counter server lag.
1/2 craft would be nice, but not really necessary.
Oxide might have a few other neat tricks to help admins monitor their server and player behavior.

I believe that a steady population on a server is due to good admin work. You are better off countering player turnover then worrying about new player influx.
